At 18 Scott Road in Old Chelsea village, a little pink house has welcomed people for a long time. Built around 1875, the Little Chamberlin House has been home to Tonique since 2015.
Mismatched chairs, flowers everywhere, a porch where you can take your time. Inside, 35 seats; in summer, about 40 more on the terrace, beside the garden and the little blue tables.
Sauces, jams, caramel, pesto: almost everything is made here, with Quebec and organic products. Lunch and dinner now carry the house’s good mornings into the evening.
